​   Short Biography - Steve Hubbard​

     In the summer of 1977 in Chicago at the National Court Reporters Association's National Convention he was the only Canadian to write on the first court reporting transcript production computer with six Americans reporting the general session of the convention.  

     Because of this experience he was invited to move to Washington, D.C. to work with Sten-Tran the first computer company in the United States that used computers to produce daily copy transcripts for the Federal Trade Commission

     In 1986 when he was living in South Florida, he was written up in the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel as the first Florida court reporter to use realtime court reporting every day in the South Florida courts.

     In 1990, in Washington, DC, he was on staff for a short eight months with the U.S. District Court assigned to the Hon. Judge Charles R. Richey before returning to South Florida.

     He has been in the company of former President William Clinton when the President was in Ottawa, Canada, where Mr. Hubbard was born and raised, and the President addressed a gathering of the Jewish National Fund of Canada at the Westin Hotel in October 2008.  

     Mr. Hubbard has also been invited to the White House twice to report meetings during the last Bush Administration
