Delayed Real Time Verbatim Transcription
With a third computer that hosts the real time court reporting software with his stenographic shorthand machine he listens to a slowed down replay of the first 15 minutes audio and being very comfortable with this slower speed with controlled exactitude he deliberately strokes the keys of his stenotype shorthand device transcribing with 99% accuracy your verbatim transcript that is now being sent (streamed) to your email address on your devices such as smart phones. Macs and PCs.
However, if you see terminology peculiar to your case, perhaps acronyms, names of people and foreign spellings, that are not spelled correctly while you are capturing this remarkable near perfect transcript you can text message Mr. Hubbard to his iPhone 4S or via email and advise him as to the correct spelling.
Certainly if there is a lexicon that you can provide in advance, this would be very helpful.
He can incorporate those correct spellings in the next 15 minute segment and for the rest of the day those misspellings are gradually eliminated.
When the proceedings are terminated expect the balance of your transcript to arrive within 20 minutes or so.
Delayed Real Time Verbatim Transcription
Mr. Hubbard attends your meeting, deposition, arbitration, conference, as an invited guest through devices such as your iPad2, or notebook computer with built-in webcam, this is a one-on-one communications experience and only we are connected unless you want to invite more into our Internet business chat room.
We will also use the standard table conference phone, and if this is a large conference, speakers will approach and use microphones.
Mr. Hubbard has attended many conferences in person and when we do not use microphones the record suffers, so accommodate the record or you travel at your own peril.
From his remote location, Mr. Hubbard is digitally recording the proceedings on one of his devices such as a digital recorder and or a computer capturing the proceedings and around 14 minutes 45 seconds into the meeting or hearing, with a second device, or computer, a second audio recording is initiated that overlaps the first recording as we end the first 15 minutes of recording.
This process is repeated throughout the day every 15 minutes.
Are you in rural America, even in metropolitan America and thought you could never have a court reporter who uses the shorthand machine or a voice-writer and you had to settle for just audio recordings and maybe wait for days or weeks to get your transcript?
Stop thinking that way and know that devices such as the iPad2, computers with built-in webcams, even an iPhone 4S, positioned strategically in a courtroom, using Wi-Fi connectivity can broadcast wonderful streaming video to a court reporter who is maybe working from home, from anywhere, streaming back to everyone in your courtroom a realtime or delayed realtime transcription with near 100% accuracy.
